Artist Statement:
Growing up in the Rocky
Mountains was a gift far
better than anything you could
have received in a box or had
deposited into an account,
being able to watch the
seasons change with new
sights, sounds and smells has
taught me that every moment is
unique.
I have lived in Arizona Since
1980.
The desert was a new
experience for me, when you
look beyond the rock and sand
there is a wondrous world of
change happening all around,
rain gives the desert the
ability to metamorphosize from
seemingly barren rock, to
valleys and mountains filled
with bouquets of color.
A passion for this land is
what drives my photography,
although it’s true elegance
cannot be captured by film, it
does provide a glimpse into
what nature really has to
offer and why we must fight to
protect it.
