Artist Statement:
My work stems from two
obsessions: color and random
details I encounter on daily
life and that, as time has
passed, I have come to regard
as fragments of the collective
consciousness. It is sometimes
book pages, receipts, postage
stamps, wrapping paper, etc.
To put everything together I
use a technique that is
somewhat spontaneous and
lyrical and gives results that
are not under my complete
control. This is an allusion
to the way life works, which
through processes we can come
to recognize and emulate,
creates beauty and harmony.
