Welcome to Geoffrey Laurence's Portfolio. Browse Laurence's body of work: After training in painting, graphic design, photography and printmaking in London from 1965 to 1972, I went on to spend the next 20 years working exclusively with the figure. My interest in the narrative grew out of boredom with simply presenting the figure on a plain field. I was struck by the difference between the first 500 yrs of painting and the narrative free works of my own half of the century.
