Artist Statement:
Quinn & Hammond Tile Works closed following the economic events of Sept. 11, Examples of Quinn & Hammond Tileworks Installations are found throughout the United States most notably in Sun Valley Idaho and in the area of Seaside Florida. The work of Quinn & Hammond has been archived by the Tile Heritage Foundation.
While in the United States George has been recognized as a ceramicist and gallery owner,in europe he was recognized for his paintings and furniture designs. It is to these roots that his new venture adheres, to a love of form, and a love of the woodworking process: at present 12 new pieces of contemporary "art furniture" are in design/production they will be made available through this site and will begin to appear here replacing the images of tile.
