Hans Alexander Gerlanius
Born in Hultsfred, region of
Småland in 1951.
Painter and poet.
When Hans' grandfather brought
the easel down from the attic
to the young, hyperactive
offspring, everything calmed
down. Ever since, Hans paints.
His restlessness has brought
him all over the world. He
stayed for a few years in the
States, where he ran a theater
and a design company.
In LA he exhibited at the
Ademson Gallery.
1989 Returns to his native
Sweden
1993 Poetry collection "Jag
vill stänka ljusdroppar på
dig" ("I want to splash yo
with drops of light")
published. 3 500 copies have
been sold so far.
1994 Opening of the Gerlanius
Gallery in Öland
1996 The Gerlanius scholarship
is founded
2002 Relocates to Stockholm

I AM BLUE, works by Swedish artist Hans Alexander Gerlanius, was presented one day only at the Grand Hotel, Stockholm, in the Armorie Hall. For the third year, Hans Alexander Gerlanius exhibited his latest oil paintingson canvas at the classical hotel on the heart of Stockholm. Born in 1951, Gerlanius describes himself as an autodidact painter and poet.
When Hans' grandfather brought the easel down from the attic to the young, hyperactive offspring, everything calmed down. Ever since, Hans paints. His restlessness has taken him all over the world. He lived for a few years in the United States, where he ran a theater and a design company.

Hans Alexandre Gerlanius est l'un des expressionnistes les plus innovateurs. À mi-chemin dans une vie complètement consacrée à la peinture et à la créativité il a développé intimement un modèle personnel et individuel.
J'obtiens mon inspiration des voyages dans mon moi intérieur, dit-il. Ses toiles avec des motifs archétypes et des symboles mythologiques symbolisent ce que nous avons à l'intérieur de nous. Hans Alexandre est sûr que l'humanité entière flotte dans et hors d'une bulle de conscience collective où l'amour et la communication règnent. Les peintures de Gerlanius sont multi-facettes, il laisse le spectateur découvrir de plus en plus. Après un moment on se rend compte qu'il n'y a une, mais beaucoup d'histoires continuant dans chaque peinture. Chaque découverte est comme une récompense, et ceci vous incite à prolonger votre visite dans ces paysages intérieurs.
Hans Alexandre Gerlanius est présent dans : Le gouvernement suédois, les conseils locaux, les hôpitaux, les châteaux et beaucoup de collections privées.
1989 Retour dans sa Suède natale.
1993 Collection de poésie "Jag vill stänka ljusdroppar på dig" ("Je veux vous éclabousser de lumière ") publié. 3 500 copies ont été vendues à ce jour.
1994 Ouverture de la galerie Gerlanius aux Pays-Bas.
1996 Une bourse Gerlanius est fondée.
2002 Retour à Stockholm.
