Artist Statement:
Philip Alain was born Jan 8,
1968 in Edmonton,Ab. He began
taking his artwork seriously
at the age of 13 after being
featured on the cover of the
Edmonton Journal. He attended
Uof A in the BFA program,
Grande Prairie College in the
BFA program and Minneapolis,
Minnesota Art Instruction
School.

He has raised over $50,000
through art donations to aid
charitable causes throughout
Alberta. Philip is best known
for his charcoal renditions
and has sold works around the
world. He has now begun to
experiment with the use of
acrylics and charcoal pastels.
Philip's work can be best
described as highly emotional
figurative art.
