Artist Statement:
If one asks Zhuanghong how she
defines her Art she will
answer: "Abstract". If queried
more, she will divulge that
her Art expresses and arises
from her dedication to
Freedom, Peace, Nature and
Beauty.
Zhuanghong's Art definitely
matches the above description.
It is free, spontaneous,
peaceful and aesthetic.
Zhuanghong's Art is free from
the constraints imposed on
Chinese Traditional Art but
remains true to Chinese Art
with the colours, the material
and the subjects she deploys.
Zhuanghong has always been
seeking for her freedom. She
does not seek freedom from
government or family ties, but
freedom from traditional ways
of expression. In this quest
to communicate without long
speeches, Zhuanghong came
naturally to Art. Her
paintings talk. They talk
colours, light, emotions,
texture, but they cannot be
read. When facing her Art,
many try to read something;
they seek for a method to
understand and interpret her
Art, to find a message. Asked
" How do you read this" or "I
don't understand" Zhuanghong
will respond that "there is
nothing to understand, neither
to read, just to feel… Listen
to the emotion the colour and
lights provoke..". The true
art lover will look and
experience, and will speak ...
