Artist Statement:
Since the mid 90s, my work has evolved toward the themes of music and
childhood/adolescent memories.
My paintings often weave mythical stories of past cultures that influe

other textured objects to create flat and two dimensional impressions
Real and unrecognized imagery, parts of musical instruments and oth
er objects (related to them) give me the upper hand in creating intere
sting and spontaneous “Jazz”and “Classic” compositions.
Aside from music, Balkan legends, folk songs, and rich costumes have a
direct influence in my paintings. I consider myself very fortunate
to have witnessed a mesmerizing (but now faded) culture so far ...
