Artist Statement:
My signature style is inspired by the culture and lore of the Hopi Clan of Arizona. Working with native storytellers, I incorporate traditional Native stories of the Earth, Wind, Sky & Water into my glass art. Each face is from a life mask from a tribal member. The dramatic color changes in the glass are a visual analogy of the changes of the spirit and soul, as told by native cultures. Born & raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, I now reside in Arizona (for the last 25 years). The beauty of the desert has inspired me in many ways. My glass education has continued, traveling to Spain, and around the country. I have also attended the Pilchuck International Glass School in Washington several times. ...
