Artist Statement for Rosemary Golcher
|

|
Rosemary Gólcher graduated with honors from University of Costa Rica in 1995, majoring in Plastics Arts with painting emphasis. Besides this, she obtained a diploma in technical drawing in the same university. In 1996 she started working in “Museum S.A.”, an art restauring company owned by Raul Aguilar. Since them she manages to combine art restauration works along with painting, digital photography, imprints and making glass works.
She has taken vitral classes with professor Aldo Canales in University of Costa Rica, as well as art restauration in La Habana- Cuba, Firenze-Italy and in Costa Rica.
In the year 2000 she enters artist Marcia Salas’ workshop of engraving metal and wood until the year 2001.
She has participated in several arts showcases of painting, engraving and drawing in Costa Rica, United States, Chile, Spain, Germany, Poland and Mexico. In 1996 she obtained mention of honor during the Vl Bienal Pfizer, tribute to costarican water painting. Actually she has her own workshop at home where she continues working on art restauration and making art.
