Artist Statement for Chris Macclure

"While education gives you the direction, living the life of the artist gives you the inspiration."
"ART IS ROMANCE"
Chris MacClure was born on the east coast of Canada. His father a jazz musician, and his mother a playwrite,fostered an early interest in the arts. His art education was enhanced with schooling at both Concordia University in Montreal Canada and the Emily Carr Art School in Vancouver Canada.
The Ford Motor Co. of Detroit has for the first time liscensed an artist to publish Limited Edition art pieces. This series created by Chris is officially titled "The Ford Collection" Chris's art has found its way into numerous collections throughtout the world such as those of, Bill Clinton, Boris Yeltsin Moscow, John Travolta, Kirstie Alley, Jay Leno, Pepsico New York and the Ford Motor Co. Detroit.
Chris spends his time at his studio in Cabo San Lucas when not on personal tours.
