Artist Statement:
Everything is connected,
memories make who we
are...These realizations
provide the foundations for
much of my creations. My
latest works find connections
amidst seemingly unrelated
pieces, to which I strive to
reveal an ecological awareness
or just a map to my own
meditations and theories.
Themes of environmental
strife, animal and ecological
welfare and time and space
passings are vastly
fascinating to me right now.

Why Did You Become An Artist I have been drawing pictures since I was a wee little one and I just kept it with me and decided to embark on it in adulthood as well.

Your Personal Biography I was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. In 2003, after completing my Associate's degree, I left the tepid sprawls of the Midwest for the mountains of northern Arizona. I completed my undergraduate degree from Prescott College in 2007 with distinction and presented at the college's Baccalaureate Ceremony. During my undergraduate career, I broke through many personal perceived limitations, and truly began to identify my direction, expression and focus. I backpacked through the desert, watched whales and swam with sea lions in Mexico and solifified my identification with the painting medium. I have since moved back to Kansas City, for I felt a purpose to be back home and prepare for the next leap in life. I am currently working to build up my portfolio, finish my teacher certification, possibly teach English in China and then go to graduate school to acquire my MFA.
