Artist Statement:
Grant Tatum, a Huntsville,
Alabama native, earned his
Bachelors of Fine Arts from
the University of Montevallo
in 1994. Tatum now resides in
Birmingham, Alabama where he
works as a contract art
director and pursues
photography as a fine art. His
photographic work can be
described as narrative
vignettes where the nude
figure serves as player and
environments of structural
decay as the stage. He reveals
stories using a dark cold
palatte that serve as metaphor
to religion, myth, and
psycho-sociological
exploration....
