Artist Statement:
When I need an artist's statement I go to the Met in NY and walk behind one of the docents and her flock of tourists and just copy down a few minutes of whatever she is saying. Anything can be attributed by anyone about any art. People get shown at galleries by their hairstyle, who they know, whether their related to celebrities, how cute they are, or how much money they have. A Paris Hilton could get her soiled drawers prominently displayed. Anything but what their art is. The only real requirement is that it is vague....

born ny. ny 1950. Father owned a saloon, Mother from Sydney Australia (war bride) Child of the Eisenhower administration, and the 60s. Service in naval intelligence. Vietnam. Worked at some form or other of art since. Signpainter, decorative finishes, gilder, framer, than 35 years as a stained glass mechanic installer and artist. Sold my first painting in 1968, and one or more every year since. I was always a working artist. |
