Artist Statement:
He is a contemporary artist. In his works, he aims to explore the relationship between
forms, colours and shapes,where by the target is to meet at an emotional level with the
viewers. Several subjects and objects join each other in these works. There may be anger
and calmness together, at the same time in the same painting.
He rather has an interactive reaction with colours, shapes and forms during the
creation process. He responds to their effect on his own emotions and thoughts at that
moment. In this way he's living the experience of painting as he's creating. His
creativity flows in an abstract and semi-figurative style into the works.
His choice of using bright colours has it’s particular background in the culture in
which he grew up. Surrounded with these forms and shapes they took root with in him.
They come to surface as new forms with in his paintings; more fluid than geometric.
Perhaps, this is his reinterpretation of his culture,one that is elusive rather than
defined, always evolving and never finished. This is a culture, where aggression and
caring are woven into the daily lives of the people. His paintings reflect ...
