Artist Statement:
My statement
My art is a means of
self-discovery. Sculptural
shapes and sculptural ideas
emerge complete from nowhere.
It’s totally personal; it is a
physical expression of how my
arrangement of emotions copes
with the world around me. It’s
entirely possible that
sculptural shapes that warm me
and give me a degree of
satisfaction are not universal
and mean nothing to anyone
else. I enjoy exploring a
variety of media, choosing the
tools that fit the subject and
match the mood to be conveyed.
My influences are as varied as
my as my use of media, ranging
from organic shapes to solid
matter. Art that expresses
something of the artist's soul
and the culture in which he
lives, while remaining
timeless in its message and
imagery, appeals to me most;
it is that which I strive for,
in my own artwork.
