If you are one of the many thousands who love the ocean, and find the beauty of the creatures of the sea to be absolutely mesmerizing, then you will understand why I chose marine life as the overriding theme of my work...
When I was young, I was one of many who dreamed of joining Jacqes Cousteau aboard his ship,"Calypso," and sailing off to dive the world's oceans... Although I never realized these dreams, one of life's amazing journeys took me to meet the crew of the Calypso when they were in Maui years ago. Over dinner, some of the men laughed when I told them of my boyhood desires to be like them... It seems that they found life aboard the ship not quite as glamorous as it looked on TV... Their dreams? To be artists someday, like me!
