Artist Statement:
An Artist is a student. I
continue to learn and develope
with each drawing and
painting. The artwork I create
is not a meaningless
meandering of paint, line, and
surface, it is all done with
meaning and intention. One of
the most important aspects of
my upbringing was that of
critical thinking, both my
Mother and Father would always
challenge me and my sisters to
go beyond the average and
obvious answer. Alot of the
thinking that is so important
in my work started there, and
is greatly appreciated. In
this world of harsh
commercialism, oneliners, and
branding I feel it would be a
missed opportunity if I did
not feed the fast food
generation, so to label
myself, I would call myself a
" thinking artist" . My goal
is to touch not only the
logical and analytical aspects
of the human psyche with my
work, but recall some feeling,
something that makes you
remember a moment in time....
