Artist Statement:
This is the newest and freshest work to hit the art world in a long, long time! It puts you in touch with the history of the homesteading days on the Dakota prairies. I have made it possible to see and touch an actual piece of history. Enjoy owning a piece of that history. Burning images in beautiful rugged wood found on South Dakota homestead sites is a fitting and unique way to depict and preserve our heritage. This "Prairie Wood" is a natural element to use the age old art of burning images showing the past. Each piece of wood was a part of life on the prairie and is certainly a "one of a kind"! I have taken the art of wood burning to another level. Each piece is completely different, this being caused by the way the elements have aged the wood making each "picture" its own. If you are not interested in history, enjoy these works for just what they are! A new and different approach with a "new" medium that are wonderful to look at and display.
