Artist Statement for Connie Hassettwalker

|
|
I consider myself more of a hobbyist than a 'real' artist. I enjoy painting because it relaxes me. In my professional life (i.e., the one that pays the mortgage), I work with lots of numbers, data, etc. Painting taps into a different part of the brain. I take my inspiration from the world I see around me, from nature, and also from the randomness of my 4-year olds drawings and writings.
