Artist Statement for Simone Caltabiano

Since I was a child I saw faces in everything around me.
Everything could be a mouth, a ear, an eye...
and eyes are for me obsessing.
Sometimes I begun a work that isn't a portrait ,
but finally It become something leading again to a face,
or an eye....
I'll try again.
