Artist Statement:
There is always an element of
serendipity in the alchemy of
dying fleece and fabric, and
in the creative process
itself. Felt lends itself
beautifully to explorations in
colour, texture and form. I am
inspired by the subtle colour
shifts, the tenacity of
nature, the cycle of the
seasons on winding backroad
walks with the dogs. As a
riotous variety of plants
rumble on the garden, so a
myriad of ideas, words,
symbols and images voice
themselves in collage pieces.
