Artist Statement:
In my artwork I try to evoke a strong emotion in the viewer, one that is universal and inspired by all that the gods intend. Sometimes while working, I surrender my artistic sense to the circle of Ascended Masters and work as a channel. Some would call it 'being in ...

| Biggest Artistic Inspiration |
I immediately loved Picasso's Guernica--I was drawn to its angst--and Impressionism, which I feel is how my subconscious views the world. I was drawn to the Dada mentality of rejecting the establishment and its rigidity. Surrealism allowed me to experience the dreamworld while awake and to work within a limitless realm. |

| Why Did You Become An Artist |
I have attention selectivity disorder, which in my case means I do my best creative work non-verbally. In the Sixties and Seventies, after the assassination of our nation's spirit, I felt compelled to express myself through the arts to bring a moment of joy, no matter how fleeting, to those of us who suffer from that lingering malaise which seems to hang over us all. I found that if I surrendered my ego, my soul was freed and I became a vehicle for the spirit world to bring some joy to a grieving world. For the same reasons I became an RN, a writer, a healer. Am I damaged goods? Of course--as are we all, and I thank god for that--because it allows me to embrace the pain, turn it into art, and possibly enrich someone a bit, help them get through the struggle. The key for me is never to forget that I am "just" a vehicle. |
