Artist Statement:
I am trying to present my ideas as explicitly as possible, and yet "openly" enough for the audience's free interpretation of their meanings. I want them to enjoy their own performances inside the paintings. I intend to provide the suficient amount of imformation upon which one can build his own materialisation of the picture.
I believe it is better not to stay enclosed in certain genre, but to explore every achievement of any style that I find attractive, no matter to which genre it belongs.
The atmosphere and the mood are the "thing" that I want to achieve within my paintings. An appropriate state of mind, the first condition for birth of emotion. If the atmosphere is strong enough to provoke certain feelings among the observers, then I have already achieved a great deal. Very often it is kind of a strange, odd atmosphere, containing deep, secret, even mysterious events, where the symbols give us the directions of the story interpretation.
The motif of almost all of my paintings is the human/inhuman being with its nature, with all its positive energy and characteristics, but also the various anomalies and negative forces.
