Artist Statement:
As a photographic purist from
the roots of the F-64 group,I
was priveleged to have grown
up in the Carmel Highlands
home to photography greats
Ansel Adams,Edward and Cole
Weston.
Point Lobos on Californias
central coast is a
photographer paradise.
I was a student of Ansel in
Yosemite
where I lived and worked for
eight years.Photographing the
Valley and back country
trails.
Moving to the Virgin Islands I
began a new era of
Photography,shooting sail
racing,landscapes and local
color,
traveling to other islands and
Costa Rica.
Most of my work is on
transparencies printed on
cibachrome.
Now with a scanner and a cd-rw
we can archive our work and
post them on line for all to
view
With the advent of the digital
age we are entering a new era
where Museums and Galleries
are not the only outlet we
have for expression.
