| Your Personal Biography |
Walt graduated from The Antonelli School of Photography, Philadelphia, in 1976. His working career started as a Medical Photographer for Hahnemann Hospital and Medical School followed by three years as a photographer for Concepts 80: A multi-image slide production house in Newtown Square, Pa. In 1981, he joined Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, Radnor, Pa, as Senior Photographer. He was promoted in 2000, to Manager of Photographic Services, Multimedia Services. Walt’s duties at Wyeth included the photography of events, meetings, products, facilities, and portraits. He also ran the traditional darkroom and color processing lab prior to the introduction of digital, and helped Wyeth with the conversion to digital technology in the late 1990's.
In 2006, Walt retired from Wyeth and continues shooting as a free-lance photographer for Wyeth and other clients including the University of Pennsylvania, and the monthly magazine “Berks County Living”.
Since leaving Wyeth, he has focused on scanning, printing and framing many of his older personal photos as well as newer ones from recent travels. In December 2007, he joined the Reading Art Works (www.readingartworks.com)to feature his work and offer photographic services.
Walt and his wife Kate recently relocated to Berks County and live in a 250 year old stone house on the banks of the Schuylkill River.
