Welcome to Damian John Huntley's Portfolio.
I grew up around art but the first time I really looked at a painted portrait, it was like falling down the rabbit hole, everything beyond the constraints of the canvas fell away from me. It wasn't necessary for it to be a portrait, many pieces of art have this effect but it happens to have been a portrait. For me that's what happens most of the time, when a piece really works, you are taken by the sight of something, existing just at the boundary of your world and you want to step through, you can never live there but at least you can visit.... |
