Artist Statement for Thomas Denich
|
|
|
Midwest artist exclusively working in Orthodox Iconography in the Cretan style in both arcylic and egg tempera. Influences from the Macedonian school as well as modern iconographers Bishop Gregory, Luke Dingman, Jameel Abraham, Photios Kontoglou. Trained at the University of Nebraska in Omaha in classic fine arts. Icon painting at St. Theodores Monastery. Attended workshops with Vladislav Andrejev.
