Artist Statement:
I am especially fascinated in the marine environments having been brought up aboard my parents yacht and then pursuing a career on various sea vessels. In the early 1990's I became a 'landlubber' but still remain closely associated with the sea with the good fortune to live in Australia alongside the Great Barrier Reef.
My work reflects my love for the sea, its occupants, and how so very privileged we are to have such wondrous coastal lifestyles here in Australia. I love vibrant colours and I love to have a laugh; that's why all my pieces are quirky loveable characters dressed in all the colours found on the Great Barrier Reef. Life is too short...Don't lose the child within yourself !
