Artist Statement:
I believe a painting should
speak to a person in depth
through color and emotion.
Everyone has their own
uniqueness and experiences
that contribute to their loves
and dislikes of artwork. That
is why, I feel it is so hard
to catagorize the term "Art."
My artworks show my love of
light, nature and visions from
my vivid dreams. Throughtout
my art career, I have been
asked the question over and
over again, "where do your
ideas come from." All my
inspirations come from the
surrounding landscape. Even
the dreams I have are of
places near me that are
twisted into a fantasy scape.
I have seen people walk
straight through crowds to see
my works because the bold
vibrant colors caught there
attention. I have many art
patrons that have told me the
reasons they love my artworks.
They include how my art spoke
to them, how full of life and
moody they are, and the high
quality of work I produce. For
two years I worked at Gold
Coast Art 'n Frames as a
picture framer. There, I
incorporated my professional
skills as a framer and the
archival materials into the
finishing touches of my

| Why Did You Become An Artist |
As a child, I drew on everything from my parents legal papers to napkins in restaurants across California. I'm a full time professional artist, working two side jobs at the moment. I decided that God gave me this artistic talent so I should use it! Creating art lets me express my thoughts, gives me time to work out problems in my life and I love painting! |

| Your Personal Biography |
Jennifer McDuffie was brought up in the small town of Orcutt, located on the beautiful Central Coast, CA. During her junior year at Ernest Righetti High Scholol, McDuffie started taking art classes at Allan Hancock College, where she recieved an AA in Fine Art. Attending AHC gave Jennifer a sturdy foundation and artistic confidence to move forward with art creations. Looking at McDuffie's whimsical landscapes and moody Oak trees, you can really see how influential California has been for her works. For the past eight years, Jennifer has shown at many venues including art festivals, art galleries, coffee shops, schools and outdoor events. In the community, Jennifer has created murals for the public, private residences, and local schools. Currently She has paintings for sale at Gold Coast Art n' Frames, 2 Sister's Book Barn, Stinn Jewelry and Art Gallery, Good Neighbor Bakery and Art Xpressions art studio. Jennifer works in a variety of mediums, but her love is acrylic landscape paintings.
