Artist Statement:
Artists Statement.
This year I want to concentrate on ‘pulling together’ all the work that I churned out last year. I’m inspired very much by the beautiful Landscape that we have here in Australia. Small blurs of visions and ideas put together in a collage to form a story.
For example: - the texture of dried mud
- rain droplet’s on a greasy windscreen
- ice crystals on tree branches.
Nature is such a beautiful thing and the challenge that I am confronted with as an artist is to reproduce this beauty and exotic’s and to make it my own. Looking at it through my own eyes. Thinking of an image is easy, reproducing it and showing it to the public is not! Such Artists as Rosalie Gascoigne, Deborah Klein and Barbara Hanrahan inspire me.
Ms Gascoigne, because like me, she collects bits and pieces along the way and in her travels from the side of the road, at the beach and uses these pieces in her Art. Ms Klein because she uses Doilies in a very special way, that I think is absolutely marvellous.
After reading the attached article by Rosa Chapman I am reminded of my obsession with ...

Artist…………ildiko FASKA
Preview……Tuesday, 4th September,7.30pm, 2001
Emerging artist ildiko Faska’s first foray into the public arena shows us her overwhelming love for all things natural and a talent for organizing these bits and pieces into works of art.
Her solo exhibition of Paintings (mixed media) and Printmaking exhibition., shows how collectable materials which have been found in all of the places that she likes to visit, walk through and to stay at, such as Beaches, forests and parks.
“That I have a plentiful supply of Natures discarded gifts is a joy to my heart! They are free, beautiful, unusual and in abundance. I want people to feel the same calm and respect for the beauty of the found objects that I feel every time I am touching and attaching a piece of debris/treasure to the canvas, and to appreciate the beauty of offbeat objects
My printmaking has been inspired by the beauty of the Australian landscape.
We are so lucky here in Australia to have everything that we want at our fingertips.”
