Artist Statement:
Paintings and graphic art


Inspired by the sea side of
Zeeland, where nature and the
work of human comes together.
The place were people fight
against the water and where
nature always seems to
overcome
what humans have build there.
Piles over grown with mussels
and stones slippery off the
seaweed, the corrosion by
nature.
In my work I make a mixed
combination off dikes, the
sea, the sky and the light.
The mussel is also an
important theme in my work,
for me it's a metaphor for
continuity and progress
represented in lines, who
cross each other and flow
together.
