Scenic Painting is a form of art that can be used to depict places actions of everyday life onto a constricted space. With the ability
to experiment freely with mix-media and subject matter I have the ability to paint and portray my world through landscape, space, scenarios from everyday life and architecture. Through this array of scenery, as well as through illusion and form, I am able to depict this subject matter as unified and interleaved.
I also enjoy working from the figure whereby I manipulate the figure onto various textures and surfaces. This technique gives me the freedom to maneuver and control the character, essence and nature of the figure ultimately through a diverse range of materials and mediums.
Throughout my studies at the Ontario College of Art Design I have been able to adapt my personal style and technique to painting. This uncovers the beginning of my aristic journey. Due to my love and appreciation for mural and scenic painting I have attained the ability to depict my reality, surroundings and atmosphere. Through my distorted realism "sculpto-pictoramas" my audience is able to identify with what I believe and see to be authentic.
