Artist Statement:
My vision is to create images that will inspire the viewer to seek a richer and closer connection with our natural world and its wildlife.
From my early childhood, surrounded by the rich wildlife of the North Yorkshire Dales, I have always thought of myself as being an integral part of our natural world, and not alienated from it. Through my images I try and convey this connectivity with our natural world and bring my own distinctive style and technical ability to it.
Today many choose to ignore the rich diversity that nature has given us, instead they prefer to disregard it or at worst destroy it. I hope that through my images and writing I can increase your awareness of the fragile and precious nature of our environment, and promote the concept that our natural resources and wildlife are something we must protect and allow to flourish for future generations to enjoy.
I believe that a successful image is a combnation of the photographer’s technical ability and personal vision. An accomplished photographer not only requires the technical ability to capture the flawless image, but also needs the artistic vision and style to express his emotions and feelings within ...
