Artist Statement:
I create one-of-a-kind custom leaded art glass that can be incorporated in an interior structure as windows, doors, skylights, wall murals, room dividers and screens or hung as framed works of art.
My inspirations come from fabric designs, furniture and other architectural lines and, most recently, from the Masters themselves...Picasso, Matisse, Van Gogh, Frank Lloyd Wright. My glassworks combine the classical works of the Masters with my intuitive approach to color and glass creating a unique interpretation of two traditional artforms.
My first love was Interior Design and I studied at the School of Visual Arts in New York City, then drawing and color at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. My approach is one of the overall interior design of the room as well as the architectural aspects. There are many design elements that come into play when creating an interior environment. Glass and light are my tools for enhancing the beauty of a structure as well as the ambience of a room....
