Welcome to Jackie Volkell's Portfolio. Browse Volkell's body of work: I am an emerging artist who is fascinated by color and love the hands on experience of painting. My work studies the human figure, as well as landscapes and cityscapes.
Over the past 2 years, my figures in oil have metamorphosed from semi-representational to completely abstract. Most recently, painting landscapes and cityscapes a new dimension has emerged in my work. My re-discovery of watercolor with the addition of color through other mediums such as chalk pastels and pencil has re-invigorated my artistic experience.
