Artist Statement for Jackie Thiaudiere

|
My paintings explore the nature and vastness of the world. Inspired by the fundamental components of the universe, my works encourage the interaction of the four elements of the Aristotelian world: water, fire, air and earth, allowing them to be set in motion through the principle of universal resonance. In my paintings. I look to create universal harmonies on canvas - harmonies where the energy of the world is expressed in a happy, plentiful, positive way. My work on the texture of colour and its organic molecules is contained in a vibrant rather than symbolic representation that reflects its original unity.
My personal aspiration is to find that original unity in my work, a center of gravity that will allow my paintings to achieve their goal in an itinerary of transparency. Travelling soltly through the infinite combinations of the prism of light and color, my work attempts to capture the reflections of time and space and their effect on our lives; to transcribe in fluid iridescence the conversations between the consciousness of the world and the essence of our relationship to the universe.
