Artist Statement:
I have always believed any obstacle can be overcome. My art speaks of my eternal optimism. The beauty of the images I create are even more vibrant due to the darker backgrounds I employ. My philosophy is that even in the midst of darkness, beauty can be found. Sometimes its more apparent then others, but you can find the light and the beauty in the light if only you look deeply enough for it.
I work exclusively with colored pencils. Colored pencils allow me to achieve the paintery effect while also providing the means to get the realistic detail I require. My art speaks of my strong need to find my own light and overcome the darkness life often imposes on us. I have found my source of illumination through my art and I am honored to shine a little light on our world.
