Artist Statement:
I had a childhood I do not care to talk about, however it is the root of my art. At age 15 I ran away from home and eventually ended up in a state hospital for children with psychiatric illnesses. It was there I was diagnosed with manic depression. I was released at age 17, diploma in hand and attended UW Madison in Wisconsin USA. I finished collage with three degrees in the top of my class, winning a scholastic for grade point average I applied towards graduate school was accepted and finished. I am dyslectic I am manic and depressed. I am visually impaired. I have many other disabilities and for this I am thankful that it has helped me to strive and indeed without these disAbilities I could not paint as I do.
As a manic depressive I live one half of my life in the grips of despair and one half of my life in the arms of angels...
