Artist Statement:
I create Ethnographic
Assemblage, reflecting that I
am a passionate student of the
arts and cultures of the
world. I believe that I have
developed an artistic vision
and sensitivity to the beauty
and wonderous design
possibilities that other
cultures have to offer us.
With much careful research and
attention to detail, I combine
artifacts, painting, textiles
and graphics in order to
create a rich "quilt-like"
collage. My purpose is to make
the viewer of my work feel,
that for a moment, they have
stepped into another land and
absorbed an essential and
meaningful contact with that
culture....
