Artist Statement:
Saether was professor of figurative painting at the National Academy of Fine Arts, Oslo, Norway in 1996-2002. He is currently working with the integration image/text. Saether is influenced by gnosticism, mysticism, Russian language philosopher Mikhail M. Bakhtin, French philosopher Gilles Deleuze, to mention some sources of inspiration.
