Let's Kiss is a lively abstraction with bright and joyful color.
The impassioned painting creates a rush of warm and cool sensations.Skorb lays out a brushy geometry of incisive forms within a landscape structure.In the lower region of Let's Kiss appear two forms that barely meet and touch one another.Skorb gives life to his abstract forms by creating more than beautiful color reationships;the planes of color assume an almost human individuality.His paintings are bold statements as to the pleasure and possibility of color.They bask in the glory of pure bright color and deep cavernous hues.Skorb's forms show a range of influence.Within the stucture one can find Braque;within the color one can see German Expressionism,but Skorb's formal vocabulary is lyrical and fresh,in a uniquely expressive way.
