Artist Statement:
It's been in my thoughts for as long as I can recall thought, the idea of projecting images and ideas onto paper with fine, delicate, effortless strokes of the pencil. In my case, it remained a mere thought until after starting a family. Though works were few and far between back when the children were young, it was the occasional peaceful break.
Purely by chance, I landed my first commissioned job, a combination of two of my passions, drawing and billiards. Playing in a tournament with pool room owner, ex-professional pool player, and art connoisseur, the conversation gave birth to the idea. With my love of billiards and respect for the dedicated professionals that play the game, this became an eager undertaking.
As I watched the portraits take form, as if I were just an observer, the anticipation grew. I'd wake from a translike state and be in awe of what a perfect ballet my mind and fingers had performed.
Time seemed to have no boundaries when I'd find myself and sketchpad in a peaceful environment, no matter if it was a lakeside knoll of grass with the sounds of children playing , a bench along a ...
