Artist Statement:
My medium is art photography.
This means there is no claim
of documentary realism - the
pictures are created to
present an idea but based
originally on photographs and
(mostly) having the style of a
photographic image. My subject
in this portfolio is the ideal
of humanity in harmony with
nature, as exemplified by Eve
in the Garden of Eden. This
theme is found in the
mythology of cultures in all
parts of the world and
throughout and history showing
it to be a powerful force in
our subconscious lives. The
nude female figure not only
represents the abstract
concepts of beauty and
humanity but is a witness to
the scene, so we can identify
with her and experience it
with all our senses.
