Artist Statement for J. C. Norton

|
My work is about the interface between two art forms, photography and physical development. The images thus repesent a collaboration between the work of the model and the work of the photographer. Many of my subjects are competitive bodybuilders and all are committed to the improvement of the physique through diet, excerise and life style. The images are often digitally altered for artistic effects and some are photocollages. I use a Nikon D1X camera and my preferred image software is PhotoShop. I would welcome communication from other photographers, collectors and especially from potential models who are as serious about perfection and presentation of the human form as I am.
