I am a self-taught artist who has been painting since 1989. I turned professional in 1992 and started my career as a full time artist. I paint any subject, but my expertise is animals and wildlife in their natural habitat. I spend many hours studying and photographing wildlife to make my art as realistic as nature intended it to be. I try to paint wildlife as it really is so that people can see through my paintbrush what they may never have a chance to see for themselves.

We are losing open space and wildlife habitat so rapidly that I hope it never comes to be that this is one of the only ways people will have to experience all that nature has to offer. To take the time to sit and watch Otters swim, play and fish, or a Bluebird pair building a nest and then tending their young or even a pair of Canada geese tending their goslings is just an amazing thing to see. I hope that my art will inspire more people to take a closer look at what is right in their own back yards.

I have many original paintings and limited edition fine art prints available.
I also do any type of commission work, in both acrylic and oil.
