Artist Statement:
I have been active in art all
my life and began oil painting
at the age of 11. After
graduating High School with
Honors and an Art Scholarship
I then attended Emily Carr
Institute of Art & Design
where I recieved a Bachelors
Degree in Fine Art in 1996. I
also took the opportunity to
study art abroad, spending a
year in Europe. I have
developed my own style of bold
and dramatic figurative and
floral paintings which are
rich in colour and strong in
composition. I like my work to
have an impact and be able to
capture the viewers attention
and be able to hold it. I also
like to have fun with art
using colour and subject
matter (like my Shoe and
whimsical Tea Pot collection)
to show a sassy side with a
little playfullness. I have my
work showing in over a dozen
galleries as well as selling
my work from my website at
artizen.ca so please have a
look at many more paintings as
well as art furniture which I
design and create....
