Jennifer E. Miller, with a
studio in Hillsborough, NC,
has spent 14 years exploring
and painting the farms,
forests and rivers of her
area, working in watercolors
and oils. Her style is called
plein-air, a French term that
literally means “full air”,
and describes an artist’s
representation of effects of
atmosphere and light that
cannot be observed in the
studio. History and nature are
both strong influences in her
work. She is a private art
teacher and occasionally
accepts portrait commissions.
