Artist Statement for Jen Molander
|

|
Jen was born and raised in New York City. She came to San Francisco in her mid-twenties and immediately claimed the Bay Area as her home.
Through photography, Jen strives to tell the truth of what she sees, to distill the every day into its essence of form. She believes that each person and every moment is a unique expression of life and undeniable beauty. Beyond words, beyond thought, is a visual language that cannot be articulated but is experienced and understood nonetheless. Visual imagery speaks to us only to the degree that there is something in us that it recognizes--something both intimate and private, yet at the same time universal.

To find perfection where there is no such thing, to liberate the soul, mind and body. She believes in celebrating the strength of womanhood, motherhood and life.
