Artist Statement:
HER STYLE
Jennifer Claire’s style of art
is contemporary expressionism.
The medium that she uses is
acrylic on canvas. The theme
of her work is color. Through
contrasting color she is able
to express her thoughts and
ideas by using her paintbrush
in a creative manner. She
creates movement, energy and
emotions on canvas.
Her painting process begins
with an idea. She thinks about
an idea for days and sometimes
weeks until she can see it
clearly in her mind. She then
sketches it out in her
notebook -- then canvas. She
then starts layering color on
top of color. She, again, goes
to a place in her mind where
she no longer see the whole
image -- rather she sees
shapes and colors and is then
able to see where she needs to
add more color.
Her calling in life is to be
an Artist – to express herself
through her works of art.
